The full-body, three-fin, hydrodynamic design of the StarFish systems challenge the common cylindrical or torpedo-shape of traditional side scan sonars. The unique shape of the StarFish systems dramatically improves the stability of the sonar and consequently the quality of the images it produces. Furthermore, the advanced digital CHIRP (Compressed High Intensity Radar Pulse) acoustic techniques used by StarFish systems offer better range resolution compared to conventional, fixed-frequency side scan sonars.

    The Gemini NBI offers a narrow vertical
    beam and 130¡Æ swathe.

    The Gemini NBI produces an acoustic image,
    cutting through the water with a narrow acoustic
    beam and at the high refresh rate offered from
    the Gemini range of multibeam sonars. Based
    on the proven design of the Gemini 720i, the
    Gemini NBI uses a 1¡Æ vertical beam instead of
    the 20¡Æ vertical beam found on the 720i. This
    reduced beam width allows the user to more
    precisely identify the position of the acoustic
    targets than is possible with a wide beam
    imaging sonar which is commonly used for
    obstacle avoidance operations.

    Tritech¡¯s RAMS¢ç is a 360¡Æ anchor-chain and riser integrity monitoring system for Floating Production Storage and Offloading Units (FPSOs).

    RAMS¢ç is a dual-function system monitoring the presence, integrity and position of mooring lines and risers 24/7 from a single sonar head * deployed beneath the vessel providing full Asset Integrity Management.

    Deployed through the FPSO turret, the RAMS¢çsonar provides simultaneous real-time feedback on the status of all lines.
     
    RAMS¢ç incorporates a unique Beam Steerable Transmitter that allows the system to be configured on installation to ensure the optimum sonar return from the mooring lines and risers and to provide 100% target detection and reliability.

    Unlike other mooring line monitoring systems, the Tritech RAMS¢ç technology is suitable for long-term deployment capability as it has no mechanical moving parts.
