This standard launch and recovery system (LARS) is built onto a single skid and is designed for handling observation vehicles and other subsea equipment.
The system has an integrated standard ROV winch, A-frame, work platform, cable sheave and integrated auxiliary wire winch. Furthermore the system is delivered with telescoping jibs and retractable work platform making it ideal for the limited space conditions onboard a vessel or offshore.
The winch system can be full certificated according to DnV’s “Rules for Certification of Lifting Appliance – 1994”. Lifting devices are designed, tested and certified according to DnV’s “Offshore Containers” 2.7.1 and the system is certified according to ATEX 94/9 Eexd zone 2 applications.

The Electrical Traction Winch is designed for use with tunnel inspection systems or other applications using neutral or soft cable. The special traction system means that all force is absorbed by the traction system and not transferred to the cable on the drum.
This prevents layers of cable on the drum being pulled through each other and becoming locked.
This winch unit is designed to integrate with our LARS and wave compensation systems.

This highly advanced winch has numerous control parameters, including constant tension and sheave back tension, adjustable electric driven level wind, automatic current restriction in the case of overheating and many other features making it a precision tool in the controlling of mine disposal systems.

The winch is a self contained aluminium construction with protection frame and the system was delivered fully certified according to DnV’s “Rules for Certification of Lifting Appliance – 1994”. The lifting devices was designed and tested according to ILO 152 “Safety and Health in Dock Work”.

Complete with operating room built into a 20’ special sea container, the winch is designed as a complete handling system for a towfish.
The 20’ container is divided into two sections and houses a winch room and a control room.
The operating room is air conditioned and insulated, and the floor is water sealed throughout. Entirely self contained, the system can be lifted from quay to ship as one unit.
