An invaluable heading and motion sensor
for ROV and AUV navigation applications


The Tritech Intelligent Gyro Compass (iGC)
combines three angular rate gyros with three
orthogonal DC accelerometers and three
orthogonal magnetometers. This makes the iGC
an invaluable heading sensor and Motion
Reference Unit (MRU) for numerous ROV and
AUV navigation applications. The iGC can
operate as a stand-alone device or be further
enhanced by using alongside the Tritech
Intelligent Fibre-Optic Gyro (iFG).

The Tritech Intelligent Fibre-Optic Gyro (iFG)
uses a single axis fibre-optic gyro sensor,
mounted inside an extruded aluminium housing
and can typically reduce heading drift errors
more effectively than most magnetically
referenced aircraft gyros.

Robust excavation pump design that will not block or jam

Like all Tritech excavation pumps the Merlin will not block or jam because there are no moving parts in the suction flow path.
The flow reversal valve can be operated to back flush the suction nozzle should there be an obstruction.
Power is derived from a stream of high velocity fluid creating a low pressure region behind the suction nozzle.
The pump may be rapidly switched from suction to jetting, or be configured to an intermediate position allowing jetting and excavation to be carried out simultaneously.
