This winch, with a cable capacity of 6000 m, is designed to tow a ROV or ROTV in deep water. With such lengths of cable, the internal plumbing and water slip ring provides the all-important dynamic water cooling for the cable.
Spooling through the right angle level wind is computer controlled and can be monitored on the cable status indicator. The load sense system provides constant tension through electrical control of the hydraulic motor.
Full certification of the winch system according to DnV’s “Rules for Certification of Lifting Appliance – 1994”. The lifting devices are designed and tested according to ILO 152 “Safety and Health in Dock Work”.
This winch unit is designed to integrate with our LARS and wave compensation systems.
