Hydro Bond Engineering Ltd manufactures quick release connection systems to suit all of our electrical and optical fibre connector ranges for use in helicopter dipping sonar applications, subsea range cables or any application that would benefit from a quick release or break away system.

PROXIMITY SWITCH: The proximity switch is encapsulated within a stainless steel housing and Acetal cover. A polyurethane moulding is applied to the housing forming a pressure proof joint to the cable, the moulding being right angle or straight. The assembly is supplied as standard with 1 metre long cable tail, additional length being provided on request. The switch may take various forms to suit customer requirements. Jumping across the gap from the pipe lay barge stinger hitch to the stinger in rough weather to disconnect air, exhaust, pneumo and video and power lines is extremely dangerous but must be accomplished to protect the stinger and barge from damage and in extreme weather cases allow the barge to move off location and out of harms way.
